A Night at the Miazga House
C - "Wow I think Harper finally pooped because she just fell asleep"
Me - "Did you feel the eruption and vibration?"
C - "No but she seems much happier now so she must have done it"
Me - "Did she let out a big breath, then smile at you with a look a relief"
C - "No she just fell asleep"
Me - "Are you about to gag from the foul smell that is coming from our sweet babies butt?"
C "Nope"
Me - "Then she is just taking a break. I promise... you will know when the big event happens"
Yep.... I'm raising such a sweet little lady. I think it's time for me to go back to work. I clearly need some adult interaction.

Holidays 2009
We were so busy over Christmas this year that I’m just now getting a chance to down load some photos. We had a great time visiting friends and family over the holidays. Here are a few pics of what we did.
We had dinner with all my child hood friends from Grapevine. Harper was so spoiled all night long as they girls insisted on holding her the entire time. Kim and Beth just didn’t want to put her down. I know where I can get a good babysitter anytime.
Our friends Jen and Matt hosted an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. I had to fly solo to this party because Chris was sick. He missed an awesome time. My sweater Rocked thanks to my sweet neighbor Kimmie.
On Christmas Harper did this….
Christmas looked like this
Trip to Valley Mills
We had a chance to go to my hometown Valley Mills, Texas to visit my Dads side of the family. It was great to see my aunts and uncles and introduce them to Harper. Going home made me think of my Nana and my Dad. I miss them so much during the holidays and think about how much I wish they were still here.

First Family Pictures
Our friend and neighbor Nancy was so kind to give us the gift of photos for our sweet baby Harper. Here are a few of them to share. Harper is growing every day and it is such a joy to watch her. She has started to smile when she hears my voice and it just melts my heart.

Random Thoughts
I have discovered that my car is in no way kid or car seat friendly. Time to buy a new one.
Chris wants to go on a vacation with just the two of us before I go back to work. I in no way want to spend even 1 night away from Harper. Never thought I would turn down a vacation.
Speaking of vacations.... Chris won a cruise for two at work this year and we had to give it up because it was for this week.
My Mom ROCKS!!! She woke up with Harper for every feeding last night and let me get a full night of sleep. It was the best feeling ever.
As much I love being home with Harper I'm looking forward to going back to work. I really miss my job and my work life.
Looking forward to January when we start going to Hockey games again. We split season tickets to the Dallas Stars with another couple and we have not been to game since October.
I'm so happy that Colt McCoy didn't win the Heisman. It touched me to see Ingram finally win it for Bama!
My sister and I made 16 loaves of bread, 4 dozen brownies, 6 dozen truffles, and lots of candy all this afternoon. I'm done with baking for the rest of the year.
I decided not to decorate for Christmas this year. Just too much for me to do right now.
We went to another Christmas party on Saturday and this time I lasted 3 hours.

PARTY???
A coworker of Chris turned 40 last week and had a little party at a local bar on Saturday night to celebrate. Chris really wanted to go so he talked me into leaving Harper with my Mom and getting out of the house for a good time. As I was fixing my hair at 8:30 at night I thought to myself… “Wow I’m usually getting ready to go to bed right now, not go out”. After an hour of searching for something non-maternity to wear Chris and I headed out at 9pm to the bar.
I was ready for a good time. After all I have been “No-Fun Tracy” for the last 10 months. Chris and I even had a discussion as to which one of us would limit our drinking and be responsible for driving home. Boy do we talk a big game.
Let me just say that we were not the life of the party. In fact we were the duds. This party had all the necessary components to be a great night. Open Bar (Woo Hoo Free Drinks), Lots of Cougars ready to pounce on any young man within a 50 foot radius, a few old people who were ready to dance, and a great live band.
I lasted 2 hours and 1 glass of wine. The wine made me so sleepy that all I could do was Yawn. We were home and in bed by midnight.
Guess I need to work my way up to Party status again.

Our first week
Our first week home with Harper has been so busy. We are just now able to sit down and take the time to send some pictures. Chris and I are so in love with her we don’t know what to do with ourselves. We spend hours just staring at her and talking to her about anything and everything. She is a great baby. I think God is blessing us with a great baby because he knows how hard we worked to make this happen. She cries very little and is just a bundle of love.
Harper had her first Dr. appointment yesterday and she is perfectly healthy. We will go back in 1 week for a check up.
I had a Dr. appointment yesterday as well. Still having trouble with my Blood pressure and fluid retention but Dr. B thinks it will all ease up in the next 2 weeks. I hope it does because I a done with the swollen look I have bee sporting for the last few months.
In short all is WONDERFUL at the Miazga house.
