Super Nanny

A few weeks ago my sister got a call form the producers of Super Nanny to see if she was interested in being on the show. She had applied for a different show but that were considering her for Super Nanny. They sent us the 12 page application and we spent one Saturday evening writing the story of the Stephens family. They called her back the day after we submitted the application and set an appointment to come spend a few hours with the family. My sister spent the next week video taping all the meltdowns and antics her 5 children had and trust me there were plenty of them. Last Thursday the casting director and a camera man spent the evening with her family. They will spend the next two weeks putting together a "package" of all the tapes and submit them to Super Nanny. Then they will contact my sister to let her know if her family was chosen.

Exciting but scary stuff. It takes allot to be willing to expose your families issues in a public forum. Heather just wants help with getting some since of control back into her life. I'm sure that anyone with 5 kids ranging in age from 3-17 have the same issues she does.

Keep your fingers crossed that Nanny Jo may be coming to Craig Ranch soon.

PS... the casting director was the same one who does all the casting for the Real Houswives. She made a suggestion that they have a Real Houswives of CR. Now that would be fun to watch.

Dear Mr. Valet Parking Attendant:

Please explain to me the following...

1. Why do you need to move my seat, adjust my mirrors and change my radio station all to move my car 50 ft. when you park it?

2. Why do you insist on turning off my automatic headlights even during the middle of the day? Hello dude ... it's 2009 please tell me what car doesn't have auto headlights? If you didn't notice I drive a Lexus not a some POS so I'm pretty sure you are safe in assuming that my car has this feature on it.

3. Since you don't need a key to start my car please tell me where you left my key fob when you get out. It would just be helpful.

4. Specifically for the Marriott valets... I work at your hotel and there is no other option for parking. I HAVE to valet. I am happy to tip you when I have an extra dollar or two but I'm not going to be able to tip you everytime I come and go from the hotel. I would go broke.

Thank you for your service.

Nesting?

Not sure if I'm nesting or not but this week seems to be all about getting ready for Harper.

On Monday we started Baby classes at Baylor Frisco and they pretty much succeeded in scaring the hell out of me in just 4 short hours. We have baby class every Monday from 6-10pm for the next three weeks. Maybe I will handle class #2 a little better.

My wonderful friends LeAnn and Tracy came over on Friday to get a plan together for Harper's nursery. I'm so excited about what they are planning to do. WOW I have some amazing a talented friends. I'm posting "before" pictures on here so that next week when they are all done we call all appreciate their hard work.

My Mom come over on Sunday and had me clean out the closet in Harper's room which led to the cleaning of 4 other closets and the spare bedroom. I am so happy that she is around to get me going and get me ready for this baby. I am so worn out though.

28 weeks

I had my 28 week check up this week and it went well. Good news is that I passed my 3 hour glucose test so I don't have gestational diabetes. I was so happy to hear that. I am doing great with my weight and gained 1 pound in 2 weeks total pregnancy weight gain is now at 13 pounds. Blood pressure seems to be under control and going good. In fact Dr. Baily said she really thought I would be on bed rest by now because of my BP and she is amazed at how well I am doing at keeping it down. I am still dealing with being really tired all the time and by the time the weekend comes i am just to worn out to do anything. I spend most of Saturday resting. I am still a little disoriented, dizzy and seeing spots. This is due to my anemia. The doc says that my iron count is very low and my anemia is pretty bad. I a taking a new prescription for it an hopefully it will get better. The baby is still breech but she still has plenty of time to move so I am not worried. The last week I have been having terrible headaches that can last for well over 24 hours. The one I had yesterday lasted 18 hours and left unable to do anything other then lay with my eyes closed. Nothing seems to help these as they are from the BP medication and the anemia. Just wish they would not come on the weekend.

We start baby classes on Monday. Chris and I are getting so excited to meet our little Harper soon!

Let's Go CU!!!

Woo Hoo! Today the day that the University of Colorado Buffaloes play the Colorado State Rams. I always get excited for this game for the following reasons:

1. It is one of the 1st games of the season and it lets me know that my favorite time of year has arrived. College Football!!!

2. We watch it with our friends Angela and Ryan Keith every year so I am guaranteed to see them. Chris went to CY and Ryan went to CSU so it always fun to watch this game with the Keith's.

How did Texas Tech girls end up marrying men from Colorado? Please note if either of these teams are playing Tech. Angela and I stay true to the Red Raiders. Afterall we do still have standards!
