Here they are

These are the two embryos that were transfered yesterday. I hope they like their new home and decide to stay for a while.

Everything went great at the doctor yesterday now we will just wait to see if we end up prego.

I think these woudd qualify as some of the earliest baby pictures possible. They are 5 days old at this point.

Good news is that one of our little guys thawed out so well that it was upgraded to a better quality. I think this is a good sign!

Luck of the Irish

Appointment with Dr. Kevin this morning.....

We will do our embryo transfer on Tuesday, Mach 17, 2009. I think this is a good sign since it is on St. Patrick's day! Trust me we need all the luck we can get.

Chris is going to start giving me my progesterone injection on Thursday. I don't know how much I trust him inserting a 2 1/2 inch needle into by butt so I am going to make him practice first. I went to the store and bought some oranges for him to try on so that he can get the technique down pat.

Changes

This week has already started with some changes...

I got new glasses this weekend. WOW! I had no idea what all I couldn't see. I can't tell you how much easier it is to read and work on the computer now. I love the new specs!!

I tried to get ready for work on Monday and it took 30 min. b/c none of my spring clothes fit. So right then and there I decided it was time to "Stop the Madness". i started weight watchers that day and found my way back to the Cooper.

No other big changes in the life yet but I hope there will be soon!

Chris Rocks

This weekend Chris and I celebrated 7 years of marriage. I was really thinking that we wouldn't do much to celebrate but Chris planned a whole weekend and it was great.

We started off with golf on Saturday afternoon. the weather was beautiful and we had a great time. I am happy to say that my golf game is improving! I love playing golf with Chris and I am happy that we have found a hobby we both enjoy.

After golf we checked into the hotel where Chris and I got married 7 years ago. It was so much fun to see the place where we got married again. we shared memories from our wedding day. Dinner was at one of my favorite places. Trulucks for steak and crab what more could a girl want?

Sunday was breakfast at the hotel then off to the Dallas Home and Garden Show. We had a great time looking at the fun stuff at the show. Lunch at Taco Diner, another place I love. We ended at the Grand Spa for a couples massage and pedicures.

Thank you Chris. I had an amazing time. Marring you is the best decision I have ever made.

It's Not Me It's The Meds

I am so happy to say that I am not crazy it is the meds I am taking.

For the past few weeks I have just been in a funk. I just can't shake it no matter how hard I try. I'm getting ready to go through a FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) in a few weeks and started to take some new medication to prepare my body for the transfer. So last night I decided it would be a good idea to learn more about what I am putting in my body. So I am looking at the side effects and they include depression. Hello!!!! That is what I have right now. It also includes hair growth. That explains why a mustache has suddenly appeared on my upper lip. Needless to say my medication is limiting my estrogen production so right now I am running on pure testosterone and let me tell you it sucks! Guess I need to break out the razor because I am becoming one hairy chick. If my voice starts to get deeper or my boobs start to deflate I will get really worried.

So I guess I can cancel the appointment with the shrink because I can blame all of this on the meds.

Saying Good Bye to a Friend

Today I went to a funeral for a friend who I have not seen in a while. Even though it had been well over a year since I last saw her it was nice to say good bye to her today. We were not close friends but Peggy was someone who I really admired. She was one of those people who just made you want to be a kinder person. I know everyone says that at funerals but Peggy really did walk to the walk and talk the talk.

Got me thinking about so many different things in my life. So thanks to Peggy I am going to work on few things.

So if you see a little extra pep in my step.... or a brighter smile on my face you have Peggy to thank.

Happy Thursday to you Peggy! I am so happy that I met you!
