My Date

So I had another "Date" with Dr. Bailey this morning. Yes I still have a huge girl crush on her. Our second date went well and I think I will go out with her again. Here is how things went.

Baby looks and sounds great. She moves around a ton and is very active.

I have gained 2 pounds since my last visit 4 weeks ago. So I am doing well with watching my weight. My goal is to gain no more then 15 pounds during the pregnancy.

My blood pressure was a little high when I get there. This is because I was in the bathroom throwing up right before they took it and that always stresses me out. I was back to normal by the end of the appointment.

I am not drinking enough water. Should aim for 4 liter per day.

She said I am all good to go to Hawaii in 2 weeks. Even suggested that I don't tell the Spa I am prego b/c they will tell me there are certain things I can't do when I am prego. I am fine for massages, pedicures, and facials. She says that getting a massage or having my feet and ankles rubbed will not have an effect on my pregnancy. Woo Hoo!!!

Things I can't do in Hawaii:
Go see a Volcano (The sulfur fumes are very dangerous)
Bungee Jump, Ride a Horse, Ride a Bike, Parasail, or anything where I could fall.

Oh and NO Raw Fish. I already knew that sushi is off limits.

I think i will just stick to laying on the beach and playing golf.

Woo Hoo! I am so excited!!!!!

Now I can start buying Hirbows as big as the the State of Texas.

I Said I needed a break

I thought we were going to have a nice relaxing weekend. Then tonight as Chris and I were heading to dinner we got nailed by an SUV at 121 & Stacy Rd. I was driving my car and Chris was in the passenger seat. This car made a left turn without yeilding and slamed into an Expedidtion which then slamed into my car. Scared Chris and I to death. All I could think about is the baby and westher or not it was OK. I made a trip to the ER at Centenial Medical Center and I am happy to day the The Baby, Chris and myself are doing OK. I expect that we will be sore for the next few days as I already hurt where my seat belt caught me. My car looks pretty bad but I don't think it is totaled. They did an ultrasound at the hospital but couldn't confirm if we are having a boy or a girl because the baby was moving around so much. So I guess we will have to wait a little longer. I am going to see Dr. Bailey on Wednesday for a follow up visit maybe she can tell me then.

On the bright side we are only 17 days away from a trip to Maui. So I know i will get a break then.

I need a break

It has been a crazy week with me working what seems like 20 hours a day. I don't think that adding more responsibily to a prego woman is a good idea. So here are some of the highlights of my week.




I added a 7th Hotel to my profolio of properties that my sales team represents. The Courtyard Blackstome in downtown Ft. Worth is an amazing historical hotel that was once the tallest building in all of Fort Worth.

I added two new fantastic Sales people to my sales team. Welcome to Mark and Julianna I am so happy to work with each of you!




I had an opportunity to attend a lunch at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington and learn more about all the great events coming to DFW with the 2011 Super Bowl. It was a great suprise that I got a private VIP tour of the stadium. It was NOT a good idea to wear high heels for the tour since I walked 34 miles in 100 degree weather. All I have to say is this place is AMAZING.

I attended the Grand Re-opneing of the Courtyard by Marriott in Plano Texas. The rennovation at this property is so awesome and I can't wait to get it in 2010 at some of my hotels. Please let our owners be generous with rennovations this year.

One of my Sales Coordinators quit this afternoon so I will be looking for a replacement asap. as I don;t think the hotels can function without Jeff.

Chris got his new TV on Saturday and I have not seen him since. He spends all of his time upstairs watching what he calls "65 inches of pure viewing pleasure". Although he did tell me he will be coming with me to my next OB appointment on July 1st. That sure is kind of him.

So I am worn out as it has been so crazy this week. Hope you have a great one!

Life without TV

Our Direct TV got zapped int he Big storm this week. The tech won't be here until Tuesday to fix it. It is not so terrible to be without TV but the one thing that I really miss is watching the news. I am a news junkie and watching it on the Internet isn't the same.

Here are some of the things I am doing this week to take up my time:

I broke out my Sex and the City DVD collection and I plan on watching the entire series in order.

Reading a chick book

Cleaning

Playing on the Internet

Sleeping

that's about it.

Pregnancy update: I have once again felt like crap this week. Morning sickness in back with a vengeance. I am so tired by the end of the day that I come home from work and nap. This baby must be a girl b/c only a girl would do this to her mother. We are now 15 weeks... Just 5 weeks away from finding out the gender.

Dr. Bailey

I have a girl crush on my new OB Dr. Bailey. Chris and I went to see her for the first time today and I am in LOVE. She is magnificent. I felt like I was with my big sister when we met. You can just tell how much she cares about her patients.

Our appointment went great. Baby looks good and I am doing well too. I have lost another 2 pounds. That is a total of 12 pounds since getting prego. I am just following a much more healthy diet and the morning sickness and nausea are doing the rest. I will go back in 4 more weeks for my next exam. Had a sono but couldn't tell the gender of the baby. As the doc said "There were no vi sable signs of external genitalia" Maybe because it is a girl???? I will have to wait a few more weeks to find out. Will post sono pics soon.
