One Cool Night

I have never been a sports fan. Maybe it's because I was dragged to 2,578 football games in my lifetime. My Dad and brother are huge sports fans and Sundays were always spent wathcing football. Dad played Baseball and Gerrod played football in college these were the only two sports I was ever really exposed to growing up.

Chris is a huge sports fan. He loves it all.... Football, Golf, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball. He goes nuts when the Olympics are on and has even become a fan of curling. However Hockey has always been his true love. When our relationship turned serious 10 years ago I knew that I would need to learn to love Hockey as well. It was the year the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup and that was enough to get me hooked. Chris has spent hours teaching me about the game and answering my stupid questions over and over again. Two years ago Chris got his wish and we became season ticket holders for the Dallas Stars. I have enjoyed going to games, even when I was 9 months pregnant. Every game Chris makes the comment that one day he wants to sit right behind the glass at a game. he wants to sit behind the goal and just watch the game form that perspective. Tickets in this are are over $300 each. I promised Chris that when he was ready to let off the wallet and buy the tickets would not be angry. I would go to the game and enjoy it with him. Last week I made a little call to our Dallas Stars sales rep and asked for a little help. B-Rad let me know he would see what he could do and would stop by our seats in the 1st period of the game.

What do you know.... B-RAD hooked a girl UP!!!!! For free!!!!

Here is what our view looked like

We won in overtime and it was FANTASTIC.

The Triple P

Today has been a day of what I like to call the TRIPLE P. I have experienced each component of the PPP through the day and all before 12:00 noon.

This morning it was PUKE. Harper threw up on me and the sofa. She later threw up on my Mom, her Aunt CC, and in my car.

Then next it was PEE as I was inserting some medicine in her little bottom. She decided it would be a great time to pee on me.

We finished off the third component of the TRIPLE P just before lunch with POOP. All over me as I went to pick up the stinky little sweetheart.

There you have it people the TRIPLE P.

GLAMOROUS!!! That is the life I lead. I don't think I want to work form home anymore. Looks like I will be heading to the office tomorrow where my co-workers are much more considerate.

Mommy has a life too

I spend so much time blogging about Harper that sometimes I forget that I have a life too. So here is what Mommy has been up to:

Work is crazy as always. I'm preparing to go through a re-organization in 2011 and things are nuts at work. I will loose my job and have to apply for a new one, interview and get trained. Trust me it sounds much scarier then it really is. It's an amazing opportunity for me to grow my career. Now I just have to do my current job, keep my sales team focused and functioning all while we prepare to interview with a company where we have worked for the last 10 years.

It's Hockey season so Chris and I are busy going to Stars games. I love them because it's like a built in date night. I am now a true hockey fan and really love the game. I have a feeling that this Spring there will be lots of Dallas Stars fans coming out of the wood work as they are of to an amazing start.

I have stopped watching football because all my teams suck...

Right now I should be on a plane to Washington DC for a week of training but my class got canceled on Friday and I'm bummed about it. I was really looking forward to going to this class and needed motivation form it.

I'm in a great bible study right now that I really enjoy. There is lots of work to it but I'm learning lots. My friend Jody is doing an wonderful job at leading it and keeping all the ladies focused.

Planning a 1st Birthday party is lots of work. Last week I decided to ditch the elaborate party I was planning and just do something simple. Thanks to one of my friend Vadran for talking sense into me and letting me know I was overdoing it. You are always the voice of reason.

Just Breathe

Harper has been sick since last Friday and even though she acts like she feels fine she is having problems breathing. Last Friday we put her on a steroid, some antibiotics and dusted off the nebulizer tho start up breathing treatments. She was pretty good all weekend but Monday and Tuesday were just terrible for her. Mom called me at work today to let me know that she was worried about Harpy and thought we may need to take her back in to see the Doctor. She was struggling with her breathing all day. A quick 4:30pm trip to Craig Ranch Pediatrics and Harper is OK. We are doing breathing treatments every 3 hours for the next 10 days. I hate to have to go through this with Harpy. It breaks my heart to hold her down and make her do it. I know that there are many people out there with much worse problems then mine and that Harpy will grow out of this but for me in my little world it makes me sad.

Happy Holloween

here she is our sweet little Kitty Cat

Trip to the Arboretum

On Sunday we packed up the family and headed to the Dallas Arboretum to enjoy a beautiful fall day. We had an amazing time playing with over 40,000 pumpkins and enjoyed a picnic lunch on the lawn. The pictures tell it all.

Harper is crazy about her Daddy

Lets Go Stars

We celebrated our first Halloween with a very busy weekend. On Saturday Chris Harper and I went to the Stars Game. Harper loves to go the games with us. She likes to eat a big soft pretzel, dance to the music, and clap when the Stars score a goal. Here she is at the game enjoying her pretzel.

The best part about going to the game is that on the way home Harper does this.
