Good People

This weekend Chris and I played golf in a tournament with our friends Beth and Jimmy Williams. We had a great time enjoying the outdoors, laughing at our sometime not so great golf shots, and hanging out with old friends. In fact the day was pretty much perfect. However through out the day I kept thinking about the reason why we were even playing in a golf tournament. But at each tee box we were reminded that this day was all about a little baby named Holton and his parents fight to conquer Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Holton was the name of the baby boy that our friends Shawn and Kathy Spradley lost to SIDS two years ago. His death was tragic and I can't even imagine how much pain Shawn and Kathy have felt over this loss. However I do know what wonderful people his parents are. They decided that what happened to Holton could not continue to happen to other parents. So they put together a golf tournament, invited some friends and family and hoped to make a little $$ for SIDS research. These two have raised over $60,000 for SIDS research in just 2 years and 2 golf tournaments. So here's to you Spradley Family. You are amazing people who are determined to make a difference
